All Truths Be True

from Scale and Probability by Monsterworks

about

Another pillar of Monsterworks' philosophy is the musing that maybe, just maybe, a human being or indeed any sentient intelligence is so individually special and amazing that it creates its own reality. Broadly we see this in the sense that mechanisms are developed to cope with life as best we can; but what if we literally live in a personal universe of our own making? Here conviction for a belief, even if it seems ridiculous to others, is a virtue - because it is true and you get to benefit from it. If you believe in an afterlife and meeting all your loved ones again, good for you because that is what is going to happen.

Here, this concept is interwoven with The Paradox in general, i.e. that maybe the truth is a bit of everything all at once, or different realities and directions of the Universe are experienced by different people. It all returns to a transcension hypothesis where technological singularities always happen within the flutter of a hummingbird’s wing on the scale of cosmological time. In other words, because technology and evolution advances so quickly from the singularity, the opportunity for detecting another intelligence would just be too brief. The being would have moved out of this plane of existence.

lyrics

What if there was a timeline for everything at once
Any prospect comes to pass and all fates prove true
No enemy left
The last villain is overcome

All truths be true
Rapid transcendence
Divested of physical form
In the blink of an eye
Moving into hyperspace

Does the prize of ascension
Render the search meaningless
Above our grade of understanding

Aspirational reality
God is real and we are not alone
Order will reign from chaos
As the strings sing transcendence

about

Monsterworks London, UK

MONSTERWORKS : has unashamedly stolen from a ludicrous number of metal sub-genres to create a truly unique beast. Be it thrash, death, old-school, prog or black metal, there is something for everyone. Expect wailing guitars, wailing screams and a pounding rhythm section, delivered by a four-man war of sound. Surely they can’t be serious? ... more
